Ex candidate for Libertador mayor Luis Tascón lamented on Wednesday that the administration of President Hugo Chávez had lost the Miranda state incumbency, the metropolitan mayoralty and the Sucre mayoralty, and put the blame on "negligence and corruption."
"Despite all the available resources," the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) failed to do a good work. "Negligence and corruption were charged. The people punished corruption, bureaucracy, inefficiency and rewarded efficiency, which is the case of (PSUV candidate for Lara governor) Henry Falcón."
Tascón noted that the Caracas Mayoralty went "back to the past" due to the victory of opposition candidate Antonio Ledezma, and also with César Pérez Vivas, the new Táchira state governor.
