Kenneth T. Tellis: America from Sea to Shining Sea no more!

VHeadline commentarist Kenneth T. Tellis writes: When a Russian (Bear) a Tupolev 95 bomber buzzed the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz in international waters off Japan yesterday, it was quite a surprise for the U.S. Defence Department at the PENTAGON. But it was actually a warning to the U.S. that another COLD WAR was now in place.

Gone are the days when U.S. planes from bases in Britain would fly over Soviet territory on spying missions.

Remember how a U.S. bomber that took off from a base in England was shot down by Soviet fighter aircraft and the cover story of the U.S. Defence Department was that it was shot down over the Barents Sea in a neutral zone. But as we later learned, it was a fabrication.

  • Now at least the Russians are flying over U.S. Naval ships in international waters off Japan, which does not violate any laws.

Come to think of it, the bravado seems to have gone out of the U.S. Navy after all the conflicts the U.S. has with countries in the Middle East. It would seem as if the U.S. has been brought down in stature since Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL).

At least some good will come out of this encounter between the Russian Air Force and the U.S. Navy. But, who knows, the next to challenge the U.S. Navy in the area of the South China Sea will be elements of the Chinese Navy.

This has not been a good omen for U.S. imperialism, but a come down in more ways than one.

Now, Iran will show some bravado and loose its fear of the once Super Power, the USA. This was going to happen sooner or later, and the U.S. with all of its 500,000 propaganda Bureau the CIA will not be able to cap it.

But, this leaves room for Latin America to finally rid itself of U.S. domination for good.

Of course, there are still U.S. puppets in Colombia and Costa Rica, but the time will come, when they will be overthrown by revolutions and governments formed by Latin Americans that are loyal only to their country, not the U.S.

It looks like the end of the U.S. Empire is on the horizon, and every country around the world is watching events that are unbelievable a few short years ago.

This looks much like the beginning of the end for the U.S.
