Caracas Daily Journal: Attorney General Luisa Ortega Diaz said that she expects to open two offices specialized in matters of gender-based violence per state before the year 2008 ends. She gave the information during the opening of four new prosecutors' offices specialized in gender-based violence in Carabobo and Aragua states.

These specialized offices will be among the most complete prosecuting attorneys regarding its constitution, because those will be made by a main prosecuting attorney, two assistants, an assistant lawyer, a legal assistant, an administrative assistant, a secretariat and a courier.

It is important mentioning that the four offices in this matter will work to lessen the load of the other prosecuting attorney's offices.

In the case of the new offices at Carabobo state, both offices will assist from now on around six thousand fivehundred cases of gender-based violence, which have been denounced in this region since the Organic Law of Women's Rights to a Life Free from Violence came into force in April 2007.
