Kenneth T. Tellis: “John McCain’s latest pitch in desperation”

VHeadline commentarist Kenneth T. Tellis writes: Of course John McCain has now resorted to writing Fairy Tales in his push to become Republican President of the U.S. I guess that he has run out of ideas and now uses his fictitious Vietnam story on being tortured by Cubans while he was a prisoner-of-war.

It looks like the former U.S. Navy pilot who was dropping bombs on villages has to resort to falsehood to lay claim to being a war hero.

Here is John McCain who was a resident of the Hanoi Hilton where he received special treatment from his North Vietnamese captors, now claiming that he was tortured by the North Vietnamese and their Cuban allies.

The only torture that John McCain received as a prisoner-of-war was the special treatment that he received as an officer from his captors, like special high quality food and drink.

Perhaps, we can now expect John McCain to start writing a Fairy Tale book on his captivity, based on total fabrication, in order to raise his self-esteem. This guy McCain never misses an opportunity to make himself look like the hero that he never really was in Vietnam.

I’ll be willing to bet that this will be news for the people of the villages in Vietnam that were bombed by him. Because, now everything looks like John McCain is himself bombed, by returning to alcoholism.

This guy McCain is something else from out of the pages of past history. He might end up as a challenge to Hans Christian Anderson, the Brother Grimm or even Aesop for that matter.

But, I really doubt that he could be counted in their class, because he might be a distant relative of Fibber Magee.
