Caracas, Feb 9 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's Attorney General Office coordinated and supervised the incineration at Maiquetia International Airport of 147 kg of drugs that the National Guard anti-Drug Command confiscated in Vargas.
Pedro Buitrago, public prosecutor specialized in drugs at the metropolitan area of Caracas, said 95 percent the drug destroyed was cocaine and the rest was heroin detected at mailing offices in packages bound to Europe and Africa.
Such results contrast to recent arguments by US officials that question the South American country's anti-drug policy.
